£20 PERIOD POVERTY DONATION
£20 PERIOD POVERTY DONATION
Period Poverty is a worldwide issue that affects millions of people who struggle to afford or access safe menstrual protection.
Therefore, for every 25 pairs of underwear we sell, we give a pair of free POM to help fight Period Poverty.
However, we would love to give more to help more so any donation you can make to our period poverty project will help us in this quest.
At the moment we donating to young care leavers in the UK read more about it below:
Jeevan Project & POM Partnership
The Jeevan Project provides sanitary products and other goodies to female care leavers in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. Care leavers and people aged 16 - 24 who are leaving the care system and Right Resolution is the not-for-profit organisation that supports these young people.
“Whilst we know periods are a natural part of life, for some individuals, that time of the month is dreaded due to the lack of finances towards period necessities. No one should worry about how they can go about their life on their period without the funds to buy period products.”
Research available suggests young people that are Not in Education, Employment and Training or have a lack of support from families are at higher risk of period poverty. The Jeevan project enables these young women to reach their full potential and eliminates worries about menstruating.
The Jeevan Project was looking for a more environmentally friendly and cost-saving product to give to the recipients of the packs so POM got involved. Every donation we make goes to people who want, need them, and will get many benefits from them.
