Our 4-layer technology draws moisture away from your skin, stores it and stops it leaking. This is how:

Layer 1 - Absorbing - moisture-wicking cotton that absorbs liquid very quickly. With a SilverClear® additive an antimicrobial, bactericidal and anti-odour solution. 

Layer 2 - Liquid Storage - Terry fabric that absorbs and holds liquid.

Layer 3 - Leak-Proof - TPU fabric, its function is anti-leaking. It does so by pushing the liquid back up so it does not seep through.

Layer 4 - Comfy Outer Fabric -either organic cotton or bamboo both comfortable and breathable, soft on the skin.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Before wearing - Cold wash in the washing machine. This will activate the technology in the gusset for maximum absorbency and a more comfortable fit.

After using - Rinse in cold water (don’t soak) in the shower or sink, until the water runs clear.

Pop in the washing machine - cold wash, mild detergent, no bleach, no fabric softener 

Hang dry, on a line or drying rack – best not to do it on or over a heater. Don’t tumble dry.

FAQs

HOW DO THEY WORK?

POM is specially designed and manufactured period underwear with state-of-the-art fabric technology to provide full protection and peace of mind during your period. The POM has 4 layers of specially constructed padding to absorb and protect.  

The top layer is moisture-wicking, quickly absorbs liquid, plus has an anti-odour  SilverClear® additive. The second layer holds the liquid, the third is the leak-proof layer which pushes the fluid back up. The fourth is the outside fabric either organic cotton or organic bamboo.   

The combination of these 4 layers can absorb many tampons’ worth of blood depending on which absorbency you get.  You can also wear the period underwear for 8 to 12 hours depending on how light or heavy your flow is. 

DOES IT FEEL LIKE WEARING A PAD OR NAPPY?

No, not at all! POM period underwear is actually way thinner than a regular pad and the absorbency gusset is built into the underwear for really comfy wearing. They just feel like normal underwear!

ARE THEY HYGIENIC?

They are indeed! The absorbency technology mixed with the SilverClear® additive is a highly efficient antimicrobial, bactericidal and anti-odour solution. Plus our period undies are PFAS free.

Not to mention ever safer for you too compared to tampons and pads. Those traditional period products are not only made with a lot of plastic and contain microplastics that can enter your bloodstream. Wearing tampons for longer than 8 hours can put you at risk of getting toxic shock syndrome. 

DO YOU HAVE TO WASH THEM STRAIGHT AFTER USING THEM?

Nope, we understand that's not very realistic. So feel free to pop them in your washing basket or even better in a laundry bag, and leave them until your next cold wash. You can rise them under cold water first but it's not needed you can just do that before you pop them in the wash.

Just remember to wash them in a cold wash, with no bleach or fabric softener. Don't worry about washing them with other clothes they'll be fine.

(p.s.) give them a wash before you wear them for the first time to fully activate the absorbency technology for the best leak-free protection

HOW MANY PAIRS SHOULD I GET?

To work this out there are two key questions. What is your normal flow, and do you want to wash pairs of underwear during your cycle and re-use them during your same period?

During the first and heavy days you may find you need to change your POMs more (closer to 8 hours rather than 12). So we'd recommend getting 3-6 for those first days.

Then you can always wash those and keep using them for the rest of your period. Or you can get double that if you don't want to wash them as often.

HOW DO I PICK THE RIGHT SIZE?

As we all know women's sizing varies a lot! So our 2 recommendations to finding your perfect POM size is to check our size guide and even get the measuring tape out to double check.

PLUS check out the 'DETAILS' section of the product as it'll tell you what size the model is wearing AND what the fit is like.

Some products we recommend sizing up like the boyleg or down for thong. It all depends on what kind of fit you like too.

We understand that everyone is different when it comes to how light or heavy their period is, sometimes even changing period to period. Which is why we offer a range of absorbencies to make sure you're covered no matter the need.

LIGHT

Holds 5 mls / 1 tsp = 1 regular tampon or 1 light pad

Perfect for light bleeding, spotting and end-of-period wear, and also for working out giving you no VPL. They can absorb for up to 8 hours.

MEDIUM

Holds 10 mls / 2 tsp = 2 to 3 tampons or 1.5 pads

For medium period daily use & light bladder leakage. They absorb for up to 8-12 hours. Depending on your flow 1 or 2 moderate flow period underwear per day will give you total peace of mind.
